How do I add parents to the Schoolytics Family Portal?

The Schoolytics Family Portal provides parents and guardians with real-time access to your student's Google Classroom assignments and grades online. As a teacher, how do I add parents to the Schoolytics Family Portal? 

1. First, add your student’s parent(s) as a Guardian to Google Classroom. For help with this step, see this Classroom Help center article on Adding Guardians. 
2. Once you add Guardians to your student’s accounts, parents can create their Schoolytics accounts independently. For help with this step, see how to sign in to the Schoolytics Family Portal. 

Additional tips for teachers for managing the Schoolytics Family Portal and Google Classroom

• For returning students who had a guardian in Google Classroom last year, the guardian should be already linked.  

• If one teacher adds a guardian to a student in their Google Classroom, then that guardian is automatically added to all Google Classrooms for that student across all teachers.
